Had a great time at Dundee Fringe with Dundee Playwrights Group this evening. Huge thanks to Donna, Helen and Rosie for performing my piece. Here's a short video of part of it. The first draft of my play is now complete and I'm hoping to stage it in village halls next year.

Last Monday, I met Gordon Lawrie at Edinburgh International Book Festival to swap books and chat about Friday Flash Fiction. Gordon is the current editor of the website and I will be taking on the voluntary role from January 2026. I was also one of the six judges for their recent competition. Had a great time yesterday being interviewed by George McDermid for the Sonic Museum project. This is a collaboration between Fife Writes and Heids and Herts Scotland.  

  Had a great time yesterday at Battle in the 'Burgh 5 cheering on Team Fission. Exposure made it to the last 8 of the competition, which was an improvement on last year's event. Video shows Exposure winning against Shark bait in the first round of fights. All proceeds from sales of Captain Kit go towards funding replacement parts for the combat robots. I had a great time at Dobbies, Monifieth. Hoping to be back there later this year.  

Delighted that Captain Kit was commended in the self-published book category at the recent Scottish Association of Writers conference. I also placed 2nd in the 30 minutes TV pilot competition.

I've been experimenting with Kindle Kids' Book Creator. Huge thanks to my son Reuben for the idea and the illustrations, which he created using Scratch. If you have Kindle Unlimited, please have a look at the book and let me know what you think!

Had a great time in Montrose today. Supported Angus Book Fest at the coffee morning, then went to see the new premises for Ink and Quill in Montrose. Enjoyed going through the Narnia-style doors to get to the children's section of the bookshop.
